Superior English component scores

Superior English adds the maximum 20 points in the Australian points test. For PTE Academic taken on or after 7 August 2025 you need:

How to reach it

Speaking (88) and Writing (85) are the hardest jumps. Prioritise daily fluency work (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence) and structured essays with a trait-by-trait score so you can see exactly which trait is holding each component back.

Why is the Writing/Speaking score so high?
