PTE Summarize Spoken Text template (2026): 50–70 words

A note method and a 50–70 word paragraph template — plus the Form rules that protect your score.

Rules first

Write 50–70 words in about 10 minutes after a ~60–90 second lecture. Outside the word range costs Form marks.

Note-taking

Capture the topic and 3–4 keywords/examples as you listen. You won't get the audio again.

Template (2–3 sentences)

"The lecture discussed [topic], explaining that [point 1] and [point 2]. It also noted [point 3 / example], concluding that [conclusion]."

What's scored

Content, Form (50–70 words), Grammar and Vocabulary. Keep it tight and well-formed.
