No negative marking — always select an answer, even if unsure. A blank scores zero; a guess may score 1 point.
Key Tips
- ➤Read the question first, then skim the passage for the relevant paragraph — do not read the entire text word by word.
- ➤Eliminate answers using extreme language (“always,” “never,” “only,” “all”) — correct answers are usually moderate and precise.
- ➤Watch for distractor options that use exact words from the text but change the meaning slightly.
- ➤Spend no more than 1.5 minutes per question — the Reading section is globally timed.
